More than two years ago, the Burlington Dog Park Committee formed, made up of more than a dozen resident volunteers with Recreation Director Brendan Egan serving as the group’s adviser. The committee’s first meeting was in February 2014. In March 2014, Egan was hired to lead the Burlington Recreation Department. Prior to that, Egan held a similar position in Marblehead for five years. Starting Saturday, any dog or cat from the Burlington Animal Services is only $17.
