There are usually two reasons why people choose low shedding dogs to share their lives. One reason people choose a low shedding dog breed is because they prefer that their house and furniture is not covered in dog hair. The other reason is that someone in the household is allergic to dogs. What about dogs that don't shed at all? Dogs that don't shed don't exist. The fact is all dogs shed at least a little. And because these low shedders shed such little amounts people sometimes incorrectly refer to them as non shedding dogs, when actually they are low shedding dogs. This is a list of low shedding dog breeds. These breeds shed virtually no hair at all. If you own one of these low shedding dogs you'll be hard-pressed to find a hair in your home. You won't have to constantly vacuum hair like you do with other breeds. You also won't have to brush your dog each day to remove hair so that it doesn't fall out around the home, like you do with high shedding breeds. So these low shedders are less work!

Non shedding dogs are said to be hypoallergenic breeds because they are low dander dogs and lose less or no hair which tends to carry the dander in the air and onto clothing. Non shedding dog breeds distribute less dander in the room. What?

Do labradoodles shed? Do not believe that all labradoodles or Australian Labradoodles are non shed dogs, some shed and some do not. This result all depends on the parents, basically the answer depends on genetics.

In addition, I need to define shedding, all dogs lose hair. Some have a fur coat and lose fur individually all day, more prior to hot weather. Fur grows to a set length then drops out then grows again to a set length and falls out, this is shedding. Some breeds have long fur and some short, this refers to the length it grows before falling out. Did you know that there are no true small non-shedding dogs? The good news though is there are many thatare low or minimal shedders. As people,we do not think of ourselves as “shedding” hair but we do loose hairsoccasionally and the proof is in our hairbrushes. This is the same for most small breed lowshedding dogs. Shedding is a completely for dogs and other mammals. It’s how they get rid of damaged or older hair. Some breeds shed excessively in the spring as they lose their heavy winter coat. Dogs that stay indoors all year may shed at a uniform rate regardless of the season. If you brush your dog regularly or take him to the groomer, chances are good that he will shed less because old, damaged hairs will be proactively removed. Understanding how to minimize shedding helps many pet parents deal more effectively with the problem. Still, other people are left wondering whether or not there are dogs that don’t shed. Most dogs have an undercoat. Dander is a tiny flaking of dry skin produced by the dog. It is released into the air along with hair (shedding) from most dog breeds and triggers the allergic reaction in people. Non shedding (hypoallergenic dog breeds) don't do this, or do it very little and not enough to bother a human nose.
