Bio:
I was born and raised in a small rural town in West Virginia, where health and fitness is an afterthought. As a senior in high school, I began a very basic weight training routine (consisting of only 5 exercises total) as part of basketball conditioning. I performed these few exercises just twice per week, and gained 15 lbs in only four months. Once I realized my body responded well to training, I started buying magazines and learning new exercises and dietary tips. As a college athlete (basketball and track) I stuck with my regimen even though my coaches didn’t require weight training. During this time I attended a few local bodybuilding shows, and thought that I could do well. I entered my first contest in 2008, and won both the novice overall and the open overall. In 2009 I won another overall title, and in 2010 I accomplished a major goal in winning my natural pro card. I began law school at West Virginia University in the fall of 2010, but have not waivered on my dedication to training and dieting. I’m currently working hard to improve my weak points, and plan to make my professional debut in summer 2012.

I heard about Kurt through a friend that used to work with him. I had prepped for my first contest with little guidance, and wanted an experienced contest coach. Kurt agreed to work with me, and I was in for a rude awakening. I thought I had achieved good conditioning in my first contest (since I won the overall), however Kurt quickly dismissed the previous sub-par condition and promised much more. He delivered on his promise, bringing me in markedly leaner in subsequent contests. I now correspond with him both precontest and offseason, and don’t plan on ever working with anyone else.
