is widely available and less expensive than the other dog foods on the top 5, so dog owners like it and dogs find it quite delicious. Reviewers are happy with the food for a variety of reasons, including the fact that the brand makes its test results available to the public, but also because it offers a very high quality, filler-free, meat-based product. Here again is another d that smells like human food, and that is not missed by the dogs. Natural Balance dry dog food is equally tantalizing and affords plenty of good nutrition in its formulas.

My American Foxhound has severe food interolerances to most meat products. He tolerates Royal Canin Anallergenic and Hypoallergenic (containing hydrolized protein) best, but I cannot afford their very high price tags. I have tried him on numerous limited ingredient foods with a moderate to poor success rate. His stool was more formed than most other food, but he had a large quanitity of poop everyday. Sometimes going as many as 5 to 6 times daily. I saw a marked difference when I switched him to the Natural Balance Vegetarian dry food. He now has just 2 to 3 formed bowel movements daily. This food may not be the best for other dogs, but it really works well for him. I would recommend this to anyone with a dog with a similar condition. Thanks for your insightful reviews. It has helped me to make informed decisions on food for my other dogs. Read consumer reviews to see why people rate Natural Balance Dry Dog Food 4.7 out of 5. Several weeks ago, I joined Dog Advisor and upon reviewing the editor’s ratings on dry dog food, I purchased a 5 lb. bag of Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Duck Small Breed Dry Food since it was rated with 4 stars compared to the 2.5 stars for the Royal Canin Dachshund dry food I have been giving my dogs. I’ve been slowing switching and since I was getting low, I just purchased a 12 lb. bag of the Natural Balance. However, I am very concerned now since when I checked the editors reviews this evening, I see that the Natural Balance food I have been serving my dogs is now rated 2.5 stars. I do not understand how it can be rated a 4 star food a few weeks ago and now it is rated a 2.5. Any feedback?I was really amazed by what this dog food did for the skin of my dog. That was probably one of the last things I had expected. My dog had previously had very dry skin which produced a lot of dandruff which was obviously unpleasant. Within a few weeks of literally only switching our food over to Natural Balance his dandruff was significantly reduced and the dryness of his skin was much improved.

Quality of Ingredients
I really love how high quality the ingredients are. The proof for me was also the change in my dogs droppings. My dog's waste had always had a rather unpleasant odor which I assumed was just how the dog was. After a few short days the odor was nearly undetectable. This was an incredible side bonus which I'm sure every other dog owner will appreciate.

Flavor Selection
My dog's favorite is the "Sweet Potato and Bison". Until Natural Balance I hadn't even heard of such mixes of dog food but my dog goes crazy for every meal.
