The Lucky Dog Uptown Welded Wire Kennel is made from the same high-quality 10-gauge steel that other Lucky Dog kennels are made from. The shape of this one is more rectangular than square and with about 6 feet of height it’s a good fit for tall dogs that may feel too cramped in other kennels. This large dog kennel can be used indoors or outdoors and it does have a cloth roof that can be added. Although keep in mind that the cloth cover piece isn’t going to be enough to keep the elements out of the kennel if you live in an area that gets extreme weather. If you are going to use it outdoors you will probably want to create some type of solid roof for it.Start by choosing the location where you will be building a dog kennel. Size up the amount of space you have to work with and whether the kennel will work in that location. The kennel’s size needs to give your dog adequate room to move around in. Larger dogs, of course, need more space than smaller breeds. If your dog currently has a dog house outdoors, be sure you allow room for it when figuring out the dimensions of the kennel. If you don’t plan on adding a roof to the kennel, make sure the walls will be high enough that your dog cannot jump out. This kennel can easily accommodate two or more large dogs. It’s roomy enough to give the dogs the chance to run and play inside the kennel. You can also fit a doghouse or shelter inside to give your dog some extra protection from the elements. Because of the size, this is an outdoor only kennel. It doesn’t come with any kind of roof or tarp cover, but it would not be difficult to make one. This kennel is easy to assemble and the gate panel can be placed wherever you want it to be. If you have enough room in your yard for this large dog kennel this heavy duty kennel will keep even very large dogs safe, secure and comfortable outdoors.
