Michelle, my dog LOVES Purina One Beyond too, the lamb & rice formula. I don’t have a problem with any of the ingredients except that menadione one…..I have an 11 y.o. male dog and my only fear is liver-related issues that could arise. Too bad — I like this food, he likes the food, and it’s a very reasonable price.
Judging by its ingredients alone, Purina Beyond Superfood Blend looks like an average dry dog food.

This is a very good alternative for my dogs that fits well into my budget. Purina One beyOnd Dog Food is a very good quality dog food and both of my dogs really like it. They do have some food allergies that bother them from time to time but not when they are eating Purina One Beyond. Not only do they really like this food but it really agrees with them. Their bathroom habits are very regular when they eat this dog food so I know that it is keeping their digestive system working properly. This dog food is also easy to find in most stores which is a huge plus for me, not only for convenience but also for price because it seems that I can usually find it on sale somewhere. This dog food is a little more expensive than some other brands but it is not overpriced especially when considering the quality of the dog food. I do switch between dog foods a lot to give my dogs variety but this is one of their favorites. 3.5 lb. Purina ONE BeyOnd White Meat Chicken & Whole Barley Recipe Adult Dog Food

August 30, 2013 – Nestlé Purina PetCare Company of St. Louis, MO it is voluntarily recalling a limited number of 3.5 pound bags of Purina One Beyond due to possible contamination with Salmonella bacteria. Purina One Beyond Our White Meat Chicken and Whole Barley Recipe Adult Dry Dog Food from a single production run was shipped to retail customers in the United States. We adopted a Golden Retriever last July. Tried several dog foods/blends and hit on the Beyond Superfood Salmon, Egg and Pumpkin. The Golden loved it and so did my Cairn Terrier, so I continued to buy it. When we adopted the Golden, his coat was dry and somewhat thin and he had very dry, flaky skin on his belly, mid way up his sides, on his chest, his outer thighs and the top of his forearms. We really though that he had a disease called Ithyosis. That’s a congenital disease and from what I read, it is incurable. Only frequent baths and daily brushing would keep it under control. Itching was not one of the symptoms and it never seemed to bother him. We discussed having a DNA test done to determine if he carried the active gene, but never got around to it. We started noticing an amazing improvement in his coat (got much thicker and softer) and after about 3 or 4 months on this food, even the flaky skin started to diminish in flake size and quantity. We are down to brushing him about 3 times a week rather than 3 time a day now and there are very few, very tiny flakes. I add an extra tablespoon of Pumpkin Puree and a hand full of diced up canned green beans also to his twice a day meals. I just came back from my local Winn Dixie and saw that they are discontinuing carrying this food so I bought up just about all they had. I’m not aware of a recall on this particular blend. Has anyone heard anything? I sure hope not, because I know that this food had a major role in the results of my Golden boy’s much improved coat and skin. The only product being recalled in this event is Purina ONE beyOnd Our White Meat Chicken & Whole Barley Recipe Adult Dry Dog Food in the 3.5 pound bag size.I use Beyond and many other foods without a problem. I switch between Diamond Natural, Taste of the Wild, Beyond, and Purina One. I often mix them. Never have my dogs had a problem.
